How far ahead should I plan my pet's move from India?

IKAN Lola advises 4 to 8 weeks within India, 2 months or more for most other countries, 4 months or more for the UK, USA and Europe, 6 months or more for Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and South Africa, 10 months or more for New Zealand and about 12 months for Australia. These are planning floors, not promises.

On time

To land in April 2027, start planning by December 2026.

That's our advised lead time for Europe, 4 months or more, counted back from your month. The EU animal health certificate sits on top of a rabies antibody test from an approved lab, and the waiting period after it is set by the country you're moving to.

The thing that moves the date Each member state can add its own conditions, so the country matters as well as the bloc. Tell us whether it's Lisbon or Berlin, not just Europe.

This is planning guidance from our published lead times, not a promise, a legal minimum or a booking. The live rules for your pet, your route and the airline set the real dates, and we check them before anything is booked. Today is October 2026 in India.

The published lead times

Where each number comes from.

Every band is ours, from our own guidance, and every one is a floor. The rules at the other end set the real clock: blood tests with waits after them, permits, quarantine places that have to be booked, and airlines that have to say yes.
